1. Today's Motivation

TIME TO BOUNCE BACK AND GET ON WITH IT!!!

How resilient are you?

I want you to remember how important perseverance

and persistence is if you€™re going to make it.

After all, if you keep on striving there€™s no stopping you.

You know to expect a few obstacles, maybe

even a setback or two on the way to success.

Actually dealing with them can be more

difficult than knowing they€™ll arise.

They can soften your resilience and how quickly

you bounce back, if you let them. The quicker you get up

and get going, the quicker you€™ll achieve.

You start toward an important goal because you

dearly want it and are prepared to do whatever it takes.

When you develop your ability to balance your emotions,

unexpected problems won't knock you off balance as easily,

and you'll return more quickly to a positive outlook.

So regularly recommit to persist and persevere

and when you encounter obstacles remind yourself

it€™s not a defeat, it€™s simply a test of your resilience

€“ your €bounce back€™ factor.

Remember how good you really are and why you

chose to achieve this goal of yours.

Cheers Shelley Taylor-Smith

Hi Friends

Welcome readers. Here is hoping your living in the major

parts of the world that is tonking along much the same as

usual? It€™s like that here generally.

It's raining here today, we are down at the Greenough

Pioneer Museum ( www.greenough-pioneer-museum.com ) and

there is a cold wind blowing!

No visitors but at 1.30 p.m. a primary school class are

visiting. That should break the monotony.

I am toying with the idea of writing a story with the

tag line "Once there was a man who ripped into hell and

destroyed all evil" It was an idea one of my sons handed

to me. You gentle readers are probably wondering what

happened to "Something for Sally"? That story is still

in 'incubation'.

So where will I find the devil (or hell) for my story?

Around the world today, Middle East etc, we are seeing

fundamentalism being eroded and decayed by the rise of

people seeking what they suppose to be freedom. It is

commonly accepted by us who live in modern Western Society,

that we are somehow in the free world. What I am seeing

is people who think freedom means you can do whatever you

like! And that everyone is entitled to his rights!

My own definition of what it means to be free is to accept

responsibility for oneself and our actions. New revalation!

Satan is control. ( or someone said..Hurry)

i.e. the action to control the people 'for their own

good'.

Scripture; "our warfare is not against flesh and blood

but against principalities and powers in high places."

So its hard to nail Satan down to one specific or

recognizable entity. He (or she?) doesn't reside entirely

in fundamentalism, that being said, fundamentalism is

a broad enough term for Satan to engage in his (or her)

manipulation. Organized religion is one of his favourite

places for that activity. Also arising in our society,

bastion of freedom, are the works of Satan and I will

attempt to catorgize some of them and give you their

correct title in parenthesis.

1. Day Care Centres

(high security infantile detention centres)

2. Primary Schools

(high security indoctrination centres)

3. Suburbs

(high security slave labour camps)

4. Age Care Facilities

( high security transitional disposal units)

Lurking everywhere is the champion of control. The

scripture says that Satan is a roaring lion, walking

around, devouring who he may. Or translated into modern

lingo "walking around controlling whoever he wants to or

is deluded enough to let him."

You can see my dilemma in writing this story? In nailing

down the villain! How is our hero going to tackle

something he can't even see?

That is the challenge! Bit like science fiction. :-)

Quick comment on marketing on the net. Your world

(and ours) is right now slipping very close to economic

depression and will take years to recover. Free thinking

entrepreneurs on the net are discovering that computers

can distribute very small amounts of money very quickly.

Sites like Google are appearing that give members maybe

one tenth of a cent of an advertisers payment when a

search is done. Google has represented the appearance on

the net of the old Wall Street rip off where huge amounts

of money end in the pockets of very few. The new order,

with the help of the net, can allow you and me, mums and

dads, old and young to participate and profit by working

from home. Being members of a team and developing

relationships among each other and gaining a share of the

profits that in the old order, ended up with the gnomes

of Zurich and the structured establishment.

Way to go! We hope and live in hope.

Manifest YOUR Desires-Learn How To Really Manifest

Author: Bryan Appleton

We all want to be able to manifest the things that we desire

most in our lives.  Whether it is a simple goal that we have

in mind or ones of a much larger scale,  manifesting your

desires is a common thing that most people would like to be

able to achieve.  And there are many different approaches

that you can take.

Most people kind of take the I wish it would happen approach.

They want to manifest more money,  they want to learn how to

manifest love,  they want to manifest whatever other goals

that they may have,  yet they are not really willing to take

the actions that are necessary to make it happen.

One thing that you MUST accept is that you will have to take

action to make it happen.  The idea of learning some super

secret methods to make it happen out of thin air may sound

good,  but so does the idea of Santa Claus.  That does not

mean it is really going to happen for you.

To really begin to manifest the things that you want in life,

you are going to have to shift your thinking and your attitudes.

And this includes having these wishes that things will just

fall into your lap. When you study the most successful people

in the world,  you can see that they do not just wait for

things to fall into their lap or for magic to occur.  They go

out and they take action to create the magic that they are

looking for.

7. A little humour.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago,

it would now be worth $49.00. With Enron, you would have $16.50

left of the original $1000. With WorldCom, you would have less

than $5.00 left. If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Air

Lines stock you would have $49.00 left. If you had purchased

United Airlines, you would have nothing left. But, if you had

purchased $1000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the

beer, and then turned in the cans for recycling, you would

have $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment

advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Hi Friends

Welcome to you, our valued reader. Seems that last edition my glum

outlook bought some complaints from readers. Sorry about that. Just

felt I had to express my thoughts about the financial situation as

opposed to conflicting opinions.

So we move on. My nephew, Alex has written an article in this

newsletter about hope, which is the cornerstone of all spiritual

belief. I like what he shared.

We have had a good week or so up here. Not much happening, good or

bad although last week at the local art gallery, we opened an

exhibition of art by local aborigines, which was inspired by the

getting together of aborigines and scientists at Boolardy station

in the outback.  The scientists are involved in the SKA project.

(explained here)

Vastly more sensitive than the world's best existing radio

telescopes, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) will be one of the

largest and most ambitious international science projects ever

devised. It will help to answer fundamental questions about the

evolution of the universe.

These two vastly different people sat down in the bush for three

days and shared their thoughts and impressions of our universe

out there!

You can find out about it inside this site, follow up the links,

it makes fascinating reading and photos to look at;

On the marketing front, my friend from Texas, Sherri Kirklin

invited me to become involved in a marketing exercise with traffic

wave where we offer to build peoples downlines for them. I had a

go at it and it looks like awinner this time!

You can check it out here;

That's about it for me this time. It would be great to get some

feedback as to what you would like to read about in this

back one way or another.

So till next week, may blessings fall upon you from afar!

Hope is okay, as long as your feet are touching the ground

By Alex McKinnon*

Most of us are not famous people. We are not football players

and coaches, famous actors and actresses or the politicians and

billionaires we see on television. It seems to me that many of

us live a life of quiet desperation, conforming as best we can

to what society says will make us happy €“ happy relationships,

marriage, kids being brought up well, a house we own (or at

least mostly own), maybe a recent-model car and a few achievements

- some ribbons, an award or two, some recognition from the group

to which we belong, be it a church, organisation or charity. We

get along and indeed many of us are very happy people.

But the truth is every now again we all, including those people

we consider to have lives we aspire to, take a quiet moment and

want for more or a break when things are getting tough. It€™s

what I call €œliving in hope street€ but I am here to say; at

the risk of sounding horribly clich©d; that it€™s okay to live

in Hope Street.

Why is it okay? I believe it€™s good and healthy to hope. Hoping

helps reduce the amount of time spent being depressed and

negative about things and helps us to have the courage to believe

in the opportunity in life. It stops us getting down about the

time it takes or in not at all getting the rewards, relationships

or recognition we think we deserve.

We can take comfort in hope. We can hope for the best. We can

stop dwelling on the negative, stop criticising those who have

what we hope for. I am not talking about Christian faith, I am not

talking about God or anything of the sort, I am just talking about

you, your kids, me, and our lives, and how we can power ourselves

with the joyous hope of getting more than an occasional thrill out

of life, getting some recognition and so much of that can come

from seeing others you know and love get it too. Constantly

congratulate others when they do and see how it comes back to you

with renewed hope in your own life.

Okay well that all might sound a bit airy-fairy so to keep

ourselves grounded I have a suggestion which absolutely does not

belong to me €“ many parents, gurus of life etc will tell you that

this is one of the most powerful things to do when you need to feel

human again - take off your sandals, or your shoes and socks and

feel the ground €“ walk on the grass, in the mud or on the beach.

If you don€™t have a cent left to your name, the phone wont stop

ringing, the family is falling apart, the world is closing in on

you, walk outside, in your bare feet, touch something €“ get a

sensory response and remember there is hope.  Sensory stimulation

is great and real, whether it be another person€™s body, a flower,

the ground, your hair €“ doesn€™t matter, just stop for a minute feel

something and remember the reality of it all. Stop yourself and

breathe. Put one foot in front of the other. Stop worrying, start

hoping and start living again.

€¢    Alex McKinnon is a founding member of the Hope Chest

created by Kizziah Burton in California. The Hope Chest¢ is a

non-religious organisation that promotes self-worth and resilience

for The Mother Daughter Journey¢ through the development of

Creativity, Intuition and Voice. The Hope Chest brings spirituality

into the secular realm where a girl can have direct access to

personal empowerment, to the sacred in everyday life, and to a

reliable autonomous source of nourishment and direction.

€¢    We live in hope and we hope you do or can do too.

7. A little humour.

Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He

doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other

guy whips out his cell phone and calls the emergency services.

He gasps: "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator

says: "Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead."

There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone,

the guy says:

"OK, now what?"

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson were going camping. They pitched

their tent under the stars and went to sleep. Sometime in the

middle of the night Holmes woke Watson up and said: "Watson,

look up at the stars and tell me, what do you see?"

Watson replied: "I see millions and millions of stars."

Holmes said: "And what do you deduce from that?"

Watson replied: "Well, if there are millions of stars, and if

even a few of those have planets, it's quite likely there are

some planets like earth out there. And if there are a few planets

like earth out there, there might also be life."

And Holmes said: "Watson, you idiot, it means that somebody

stole our tent."

A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: "That's

the ugliest baby that I've ever seen. Ugh!" The woman goes to the

rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to

her: "The driver just insulted me!" The man says:

"You go right up there and tell him off €“ go ahead, I'll hold your

monkey for you."

Hi Friends

Welcome back to Western Australia. Hope your week has been

fruitful? The worldwide recession touching you at all?

Seems like it is similar to a very slow tide that comes in

over a couple of years wetting  everything and then recedes

to one day come in again. Us humans really find it hard to

accept that things have changed. Especially if it hits the

hip pocket nerve. So there has been a great deal of denial

around the world. And a great deal of imagining that it

would not affect us. That it is happening to someone else,

not me!

I can get that because I still see big momma's driving their

precious cargoes to the front door of the primary school in

great four wheel drive vehicles. Also the pundits predicting

green shoots as the tide of events reaches above their necks!

Funny how Japan has finally realised that because it doesn't

have any oil, it had better start making electric cars. And

the greener than grass people here denying nuclear power

plants while their governments continue to build coal fired

electricity generators. They scream to the rooftops we need

wind energy as the wind eases during the night!

What saddens me though, I will tell you. BHP Billiton and Rio

Tinto are merging into a mining giant. This is prophecy, but

will they not build computer operated machinery so huge that

it will gulp the side off mountains and dig holes to the bowels

of the earth to send it from our shores in mile long ships.

Till the day rapidly approaches that the hills are gone and the

holes are vast and empty. Will on that day these rapacious

creatures then just pack up and leave?

Leave the citizens of our country jammed in a thin strip around

the coastline in crowded suburbs, working for a pittance to

just exist?

I have seen over the last fifty years how in the farming

industry, farms taken over until one or two people own a whole

district and a machine does the work of hundreds of men,

machines operated by computers and the money is siphoned off

into shareholders, here and mostly overseas. While communities

and vibrant small towns shrink and die?

Governments are then called on to provide for the aging

population and to do so they implement draconian taxes,

regulations and rules until the citizens lose any vestige of

freedom they vainly imagined they once had?

Work till your 67 and what next?

Against the backdrop of rising interest rates?

I am not of the loony left, or the far right, just a bloke who

is concerned about the madly accelerating pace of life and

everything and everybody in it :-(

But back home here in old downtown Geraldton today, a huge cloud

band came across the West Coast this morning and delivered

soaking rains to the wheatbelt. Shades of old times!

Looks like being a good old normal season.

We are enjoying this winter and best wishes to our friends

in the Northern Hemisphere as you bask in the summer sunshine?

Kind regards

History lesson for economists in thrall to Keynes

 By Niall Ferguson

On Wednesday last week, yields on 10-year US Treasuries

-- generally seen as the benchmark for long-term interest

rates -- rose above 3.73 per cent. Once upon a time that

would have been considered rather low. But the financial

crisis has changed all that: at the end of last year, the

yield on the 10-year fell to 2.06 per cent. In other words,

long-term rates have risen by 167 basis points in the

space of five months. In relative terms, that represents

an 81 per cent jump.

Most commentators were unnerved by this development,

coinciding as it did with warnings about the fiscal health

of the US. For me, however, it was good news. For it

settled a rather public argument between me and the

Princeton economist Paul Krugman.

It is a brave or foolhardy man who picks a fight with

Mr Krugman, the most recent recipient of the Nobel Prize

for Economics. Yet a cat may look at a king, and sometimes

a historian can challenge an economist.

A month ago Mr Krugman and I sat on a panel convened

in New York to discuss the financial crisis. I made the

point that "the running of massive fiscal deficits in

excess of 12 per cent of gross domestic product this

year, and the issuance therefore of vast quantities of

freshly-minted bonds" was likely to push long-term

interest rates up, at a time when the Federal Reserve

aims at keeping them down. I predicted a "painful

tug-of-war between our monetary policy and our fiscal

policy, as the markets realise just what a vast quantity

of bonds are going to have to be absorbed by the

financial system this year".

De haut en bas came the patronising response: I

belonged to a "Dark Age" of economics. It was "really sad"

that my knowledge of the dismal science had not even got

up to 1937 (the year after Keynes's General Theory was

published), much less its zenith in 2005 (the year

Mr Krugman's macro-economics textbook appeared). Did I

not grasp that the key to the crisis was "a vast excess

of desired savings over willing investment"? "We have a

global savings glut," explained Mr Krugman, "which is

why there is, in fact, no upward pressure on interest

rates."

Now, I do not need lessons about the General Theory.

But I think perhaps Mr Krugman would benefit from a

refresher course about that work's historical context.

Having reissued his book The Return of Depression Economics,

he clearly has an interest in representing the current

crisis as a repeat of the 1930s. But it is not. US real

GDP is forecast by the International Monetary Fund to

fall by 2.8 per cent this year and to stagnate next year.

This is a far cry from the early 1930s, when real output

collapsed by 30 per cent. So far this is a big recession,

comparable in scale with 1973-1975. Nor has globalisation

collapsed the way it did in the 1930s.

Credit for averting a second Great Depression should

principally go to Fed chairman Ben Bernanke, whose

knowledge of the early 1930s banking crisis is second

to none, and whose double dose of near-zero short-term

rates and quantitative easing -- a doubling of the Fed's

balance sheet since September -- has averted a pandemic

of bank failures. No doubt, too, the $787bn stimulus

package is also boosting US GDP this quarter.

But the stimulus package only accounts for a part of

the massive deficit the US federal government is

projected to run this year. Borrowing is forecast to

be $1,840bn -- equivalent to around half of all federal

outlays and 13 per cent of GDP. A deficit this size

has not been seen in the US since the second world war.

A further $10,000bn will need to be borrowed in the

decade ahead, according to the Congressional Budget

Office. Even if the White House's over-optimistic

growth forecasts are correct, that will still take

the gross federal debt above 100 per cent of GDP by

2017. And this ignores the vast off-balance-sheet

liabilities of the Medicare and Social Security systems.

It is hardly surprising, then, that the bond market

is quailing. For only on Planet Econ-101 (the standard

macroeconomics course drummed into every US

undergraduate) could such a tidal wave of debt issuance

exert "no upward pressure on interest rates".

Of course, Mr Krugman knew what I meant. "The only thing

that might drive up interest rates," he acknowledged

during our debate, "is that people may grow dubious

about the financial solvency of governments." Might?

May? The fact is that people -- not least the Chinese

government -- are already distinctly dubious. They

understand that US fiscal policy implies big purchases

of government bonds by the Fed this year, since neither

foreign nor private domestic purchases will suffice

to fund the deficit. This policy is known as printing

money and it is what many governments tried in the

1970s, with inflationary consequences you do not need

to be a historian to recall.

No doubt there are powerful deflationary headwinds

blowing in the other direction today. There is surplus

capacity in world manufacturing. But the price of key

commodities has surged since February. Monetary

expansion in the US, where M2 is growing at an annual

rate of 9 per cent, well above its post-1960 average,

seems likely to lead to inflation if not this year, then

next. In the words of the Chinese central bank's latest

quarterly report: "A policy mistake ... may bring

inflation risks to the whole world."

The policy mistake has already been made -- to adopt

the fiscal policy of a world war to fight a recession.

In the absence of credible commitments to end the

chronic US structural deficit, there will be further

upward pressure on interest rates, despite the glut of

global savings. It was Keynes who noted that "even the

most practical man of affairs is usually in the thrall

of the ideas of some long-dead economist". Today the

long-dead economist is Keynes, and it is professors of

economics, not practical men, who are in thrall to his

ideas.

1. Today's Motivation

Celebrate success

If you wish to be successful, help others to be successful.

If you wish to help others to be successful, be successful

yourself.

Success does not occur in a vacuum. Success is most reliably

created in a successful environment.

One person's achievement does not prevent or detract from

anyone else's opportunity to achieve. Quite to the contrary,

every achievement creates more possibilities for all to

achieve.

There's no reason to feel guilty for having achieved more,

and there's no reason to feel envious for having less.

Instead, be inspired by every achievement you see, and be

inspiring in your own creative efforts.

Envision, create and achieve in your unique way. Encourage

and celebrate the work of others who seek to do the same.

Success is not built on envy or resentment or punishment

or guilt. Success is built upon success, so let the building

begin.

Hi Friends

Welcome, thanks for opening this mail and reading through.

That is what makes it all worth while.

Last week we had the first cold front of our

winter and she was a beauty! Swept through with 70 knot

winds and heaps of rain throughout the wheat belt. Good

news. Wont be any recession here in Geraldton this year

anyway. Farmers are flat out finishing off planting their

crops of lupins, wheat, barley and canola.

We had our Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, fly in here Thursday

and the State Premier was with him to make announcements of

big projects being put under way in Geraldton and in the

NOrth for mining etc. So its all go.

But John Mauldin in his newsletter from good old USA paints

a bleak picture for the future of America and Europe in the

next few years. He mentioned something like 10 Trillion of

debt that will have to repayed.

(Unless someone starts a war!)...............North Korea?

So we will move away from that depressing stuff for  moment.

I'd like to briefly share with you some glimpses of moments

of years ago, in the late sixties and early seventies when

we were farming wheat and sheep at Jennyville in Mingenew.

That's in the North Central wheatbelt of Western Australia.

The opening rains we just had remind of the rush that took

place at seeding time (which is now) and how it was my job

to get the machines ready. We had small gear in those day,

a Massey Harris Tractor and two eleven disc ploughs pulled

in tandem. It is still in my memory of setting up the ploughs

and the first sweep around the paddock, the smell of freshly

turned soil is still in my nostrils, the long hours in the

tractor, all day and all night, never stopping except to fuel

up! Then to the seeding, loading the old truck up with 78 bags

of seed and fertilizer, jerking them up off the ground! Then

trundling up the hill to the seeder or wherever it was. I worked

at night, pulling up each time the seeder got low, carrying

the bags off the truck on my back and tipping them into the

seeder box, cold, rain, it didn't seem to matter to us in those

days. Then loading the truck again. Every night and every

morning till it was done.

To watch the green shoots spring up from the ground and the

rain driven by our Westerly gales, bring life and growth to

the crops. It was a wonderful seven years of my life back then.

They do it a lot different today of course and it is sad in

some respects as technology and to some extent greed, has

forced most people off the land. Huge areas are now owned by

just a few people with massive machines and hardly any labour.

Leaving the small towns almost deserted. Something has been

lost in this transaction,  I believe.

My partner and I have just recovered from having deep cuts to

out limbs to get rid of melanoma's and then the cuts turned

septic. But we are coming good, as one must, tomorrow we go

out and start some more reticulation jobs. Keep fit anyway!

I had good news in that my cholesterol came down from

5.9 to 4.00! Must be because I stopped drinking so much beer

now its winter.

Roll on summer. Just joking.

That's it from me today and next week, watch out.

Cheers

I included this e-mail format from Pyrabang because

I am becoming very excited about the possibilities

of this program and this mail below explains a bit

about it.

It is becoming more credible every day and I actually

am earning some income from it.

Read on.....................

I've joined a network that is helping people like

you and I become the media and make a real living

wage income doing it. What they have come up with

is quite revolutionary!

It is a paradigm shift that makes advertiser

controlled media obsolete! Advertisers are paid to

promote legitimate products or services. Our members

can invest in that advertising to increase it's

circulation! Faulty products, un-reliable services

and companies that "pull one over" on the public

can€™t survive in this system!

Q. Who is going to pay people to advertise to them?

A. Pyrabang pays you up to 12,000% to pay other

people to get their message out!

The members advertise information not just products

and services. They pay their visitors and readers

to view information from other members. If someone

views information, they pay 1/10 of a cent to the

advertiser and make $12.00 per member who joins the

network, plus a residual 45 cents per month!

They also just added even more benefit to the plan

by more than doubling commissions for your sponsees

every month! After the bonus period has expired

you'll still make an additional 95 cents per month

on each of your sponsees!

The network of 500+ websites uses "ads by Google"

like embeds to spread your information and is now

over 191,591,647 impressions of our members €œposts.€

Over 1,888,586 €œbangs€ have been invested, and we

are over 6,617 members strong!

Allow me the honour of sponsoring you onto the

network by clicking on this line today.

Or you can put stanm in the "invite code" field of

the sign-up box on the front page.

1. Today's Motivation

The mark of the man of the world is absence of pretension.

He does not make a speech; he takes a low business-tone,

avoids all brag, is nobody, dresses plainly, promises not

at all, performs much, speaks in monosyllables, hugs his

fact. He calls his employment by its lowest name, and so

takes from evil tongues their sharpest weapon. His

conversation clings to the weather and the news, yet he

allows himself to be surprised into thought, and the

unlocking of his learning and philosophy.

Hi Friends

Welcome back to you, our valued reader, great that you

took the time to open this newsletter.

It hasn't come out for a while as I had a struggle there

for a bit. Work on reticulation, hot weather, to much

alcohol and then another cancer on my leg. That was cut

out twice and then got infected, so that is the end of

the sad story.

Today in Geraldton, the weather is still fine and sunny,

I am feeling much better, so things are looking up.

Australia has had its budget from the Federal

Government, being a labour, or socialist Government,

they are big spenders, take from the rich and give to

the poor. It never worked before and it surely wont

work this time around. But we sigh and get on with it,

as we voted them in.

Its a really awkward time for Governments around the

world, whether they are red or blue. What I see has

happened is that everyone spend more than they earned

for a few years and now credit has dried up, people are

being laid off and money has to somehow be repaid.

Mainly I suppose by the masses through high interest

rates and hidden taxes. The rich never get to pay it

all. The poor want them to of course. If the poor rise

up against the rich in a revolution, then everyone ends

up being poor. Bit of a catch 22 situation and I'm sure

you understand this?

Because there is a really large mass of people heading

towards old age and retirement, and having had their

superannuation cut in half, they are concerned about

what will happen, and so am I!

That is why I am searching for a way we (pensioners)

can earn income working from home with our computers.

And going for a long walk each afternoon.  :-)

My latest foray into this is the 123 System shown to me

by a really nice lady in the state of Victoria. Here is

the link for it and I invite you, my reader to have a

good look through the site.

My friend Salley in Ohio has put an ad up in the

sponsors section, it's about our health and I urge you

to check it out.

You are going to ask me, what happened to the serial

story I started called 'Something for Sally?', not

the one above!

Well I still am unsure what is going to happen to her.

She is sure as hell troubling my conscience!

So we have to leave it for another week, till inspiration

turns up.

Until then, best wishes for your week ahead.

Kind regards

Seed and Harvest Time in The Kingdom Of God

Author: Angela Mwema

When God created the world, he made man and woman. In them,

there was seed to fill the earth. God could have made all

the people he needed to fill the earth but this would have

gone contrary to who he is. He put a seed in every plant

and animal as a way of giving them power to rule there

destiny. God told man, be fruitful, multiply and fill the

earth. This meant that man had all the power he needed to

rule over the earth. He was not to go back to God to ask

for more power of favour. It was already in him.

As we are born, we already have the seeds we have to make

it in life. These come in many forms. They can be talents,

gifts, money and family traits. Everything you need is

already in you. The money, prosperity, ministry and family

you have always desired, you already have them in your spirit.

All that you need to do is learn how to release these

blessings from God and let them manifest in your physical

life. Everything you carry in your spirit is a seed that is

supposed to usher you in to the destiny God has prepared for

you.

If you desire something, seed and harvest time in the Kingdom

of God require that you release that which God has already

given you. Do you desire to have money, sow monetary seeds,

Do you desire to be an intercessor, sow those prayers that

are already in your heart. God always gives you seeds to take

you to where he wants you to go. What you do with the seed is

what will determine where you land in your purpose and how

fast you get there. Learn to sow sacrificially as this will

ensure that you always are walking according to how God has

ordered your life.

living word of God. Please visit her site for more spiritual

1. Today's Motivation

EIGHTY PERCENT OF SUCCESS IS SHOWING UP

The only way to start to improve your life is to start. Once you're sure you're on the
right road there is no need to plan your journey too far ahead. Don't burden yourself
with doubts and fears as to the obstacles that may bar your progress. You can only take
one step at a time. You don't need to know all the answers in advance. Just maintain a
clear idea of the goal you want to reach and the answers will come in their own time.
If you can get up the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed. It's the job
you never start that takes the longest to finish. Go after what you want and you'll
get it.

2. Inspirational quote.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and
is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

Hi

Yesterday I had to go and have a second cut of a Melanoma on my lower leg and suffer
the discomfort of a allergic reaction to some antibiotics later that day. Really painful
experience all around. But like the Doctor says, better to remove the threat than to be
the recipient of an active cancer.

When we pass 70 years of age it becomes a battleground against aging that brings in
disease and discomfort. That issue is not addressed among the young and is the province
of us older people when we arrive at that place. I don€™t wish to complain and whinge
about the fact. But by just accepting it and moving on helps. It can be made easier by
support from our peers. (as we all live daily with the threat)

Australia has settled down into a muddle through economy in which our socialist Government
is intent on spending us back into prosperity. However of course, that doesn't work long
term. People I have spoken to seem numbed into accepting the bewildering landslide of
bulldust streamed at us by the media. They do not see the elephant in the living room.
What elephant?

Actually, most of us feel that we can€™t do anything about the economy and have given up
thinking we can. Of course that is a lie. The delusion printed out by the media has
been taken like some drug by society. Perhaps an excuse?

But we can actually do a lot to prepare us for the changes in the world to come, and
come they will. The first one is to take control of our lives, our money, our home
and all decisions. Don€™t let the Government make them for us.

Save money, don€™t spend unnecessarily, work hard, stay home in the evenings, go without.
Help others when we can. Plant a small garden for food, every little bit helps. Create
ideas in our community that keeps people positive, believe in ourselves.

My thoughts on income. I am actually an old aged pensioner on a very low income, except
that I do still do some part time work for cash in the area of irrigation, service and
repairs. So that is a field that can continue until I can€™t move anymore! But also have
been looking at making some income from marketing on the Internet. In a way, like many
others we have served our apprenticeship here, being drawn in by all the hype and half
truths, false promises and downright lies.

But there is hope, I believe that out of this, somewhere programs will rise that can give
the ordinary bloke a chance to supplement his income by working from home with his PC.
And that already exists, except the biggest challenge to that is the constant promise
of more and better. To resist that and develop a group of likeminded people, working
together to help each other along is one of the greatest challenges facing the Internet
today.

I'll leave that subject with you to debate!

There is one more thing I want to ask of you.

A couple of weeks ago I started to look at writing again and begun a short story which
can run as a serial each time in this newsletter for a start. In the article section I
have put up where it is at this point of time. I would love your feedback!

Thanks. And that's about it for me today. Blessings to you.

Serial Story....'Something for Sally'

Sally hurried down the corridor leading to the University library, turned the corner.
Suddenly she found herself flat on her back, knocked over by a man coming the other way .
She breathed hard under the weight of his muscular body, feeling every part of him pressed
into her, straddled together in a mix up of arms and legs.
He pushed up quickly onto his elbows, and extended his hand to help her.
€œSorry!€ he exclaimed. €œI didn't see you coming.€ He lent down and gathered up her things,
gallantly handed them back to her with a impish grin. €œHaven't I seen you somewhere?€ he
asked, looking directly into her eyes.
Sally blushed, the feel of his body clung to her, the sense of strength in his muscular frame
stirred her, his eyes held her gaze till she looked down. €œNo I don't remember€ she said.
They stood together silently for a few moments.
€œWhy don't we go and have a coffee to celebrate our recovery?€ he asked. €œMy name is Jim€
he added with a grin.
€œI have to go, a lecture, am running late,€
€œAt five then, in the cafeteria,€ Jim persisted.
€œAh,€ she hesitated, looking down.
€œSee you then."
€œAlright,€ Sally replied, turned and hurried off.

The professor droned on for a half an hour more than usual, Sally fidgeted with her pen,
looked at her watch. She felt a strange feeling, uncomfortable, churning, a feeling of
desire mixed with apprehension.
€œStop it.€ she remonstrated to herself. €œYour being silly, he just wanted to be friendly.€
But the feeling persisted, like premonition of something. Of what, she thought? Stop it!
The lecture ended, she hurried to the cafeteria, then slowed down just before the entrance.
Inside was quiet, Jim was not there, she looked at her watch. 5.30. €œDamn€ she swore under
her breath.

€œHi€ Sally looked back suddenly across the University lawn €œYou get held up yesterday?€
Jim smiled at her.
€œYes, I am very sorry,€ Sally replied, €œMy lecture went on for longer then usual.€
€œI know.€
€œHow did you know that?€ Sally asked.
€œJohn Morton, told me.
€œAh, yes, John, so you know each other?€
€œHe is a mate of mine from way back.€
€œJohn and I are good friends.€ Sally said blandly.
€œYes I know.€ Jim replied.
€œWe are going down to the pub this Friday after classes, want to join us?€
Sally hesitated a moment. That strange feeling welled up inside her, she felt her skin
prickle. Stop it, stop it went on in her brain. She smiled at him.

The last few days of the week flew by. Sally walked down to the Pub two streets from the
University and was greeted by the group around some tables near a fireplace. The evening had
a chill in the air. Jim was attentative to her and the alcohol began to flow. There was much
laughter and ribaldry amongst the students. Sally felt giddy and laughed out loud.
€œJim,€ she called out.
€œYep Sally€ he said, coming over to her.
She stood up next to him and put her hand onto his shoulder, slowly bringing it down his arm
to leave it touching the muscles on his forearm. It was as if a magnet had drawn her there
and yet it felt as though she was watching herself in some bizarre theatre, an actor, the
heroine, touching the hero, looking up at his mop of jet black hair which outlined his rugged
face.
€œWhere are we going to?€ she asked, her voice coming from way off.
€œWant to go home?€ he asked.
€œYes,€ she replied.
€œI will take you then.€ he said. He held her by the hand and led her to his car. She was
leaning over on his shoulder as he drove away.

Sally woke suddenly, sat up in the double bed. €œOh!€ she cried out, holding hands to her head.
Jim stood by the door, leaning against it.
€œGood morning.€ he said. Sally looked down, she was naked. She looked back up at Jim, her
face was ashen, she felt sick.
€œBoy, you were really hotlast night!€ he said, grinning. Sally stared at him for a long time,
a feeling of revulsion swept over her.
€œGet out!€ she cried out. Jim moved back.
€œOkay, take it easy.€ he said €œNo need to be like that!€
She clutched the sheet around her, grabbed her clothes and pulled them on, raced for the door,
brushing past Jim in the hallway, Sally ran and ran, vomit spewed from her, spraying the
pavement. People moved out of her way, looking back at the dishevelled girl.

To Be Continued.

A Life in the Australian Army... (A bit of Australiana)

Text of a letter from a kid from Eromanga to Mum and Dad.
(For Those of you not in the know, Eromanga is a small
town, west of Quilpie in the far south west of Queensland)

Dear Mum & Dad,

I am well. Hope youse are too. Tell me big brothers Doug and Phil that the
Army is better than workin' on the farm - tell them to get in bloody quick
smart before the jobs are all gone! I wuz a bit slow in settling down at
first, because ya don't hafta get outta bed until 6am. But I like sleeping
in now, cuz all ya gotta do before brekky is make ya bed and shine ya boots
and clean ya uniform. No bloody cows to milk, no calves to feed, no feed to
stack - nothin'!! Ya haz gotta shower though, but its not so bad, coz there's
lotsa hot water and even a light to see what ya doing!

At brekky ya get cereal, fruit and eggs but there's no kangaroo steaks or
possum stew like wot Mum makes. You don't get fed again until noon and by
that time all the city boys are buggered because we've been on a
'route march' - geez its only just like walking to the windmill in the back
paddock!!

This one will kill me brothers Doug and Phil with laughter. I keep getting
medals for shootin' - dunno why. The bullseye is as big as a bloody possum's
bum and it don't move and it's not firing back at ya like the Johnsons did
when our big scrubber bull got into their prize cows before the Ekka last
year! All ya gotta do is make yourself comfortable and hit the target - it's
a piece of piss!! You don't even load your own cartridges, they comes in
little boxes, and ya don't have to steady yourself against the rollbar of
the roo shooting truck when you reload!

Sometimes ya gotta wrestle with the city boys and I gotta be real careful
coz they break easy - it's not like fighting with Doug and Phil and Jack and
Boori and Steve and Muzza all at once like we do at home after the muster.
Turns out I'm not a bad boxer either and it looks like I'm the best the
platoon's got, and I've only been beaten by this one bloke from the
Engineers - he's 6 foot 5 and 15 stone and three pick handles across the
shoulders and as ya know I'm only 5 foot 7 and eight stone wringin' wet,
but I fought him till the other blokes carried me off to the boozer.

I can't complain about the Army - tell the boys to get in quick before word
gets around how bloody good it is.

1. Today's Motivation

Thoughts

Words and actions are the factions
that make or break our day.
And thoughts are the things
from whence they all spring.

To be the best we can possibly be,
to grow, and learn in every adversity,
and not lose the success that's ours to be
requires control of our thoughts explicitly.

Never doubt the possibilities to be,
and obstacles will never become a reality.
We create our own success you see
but only with a positive mentality.

Hi

Welcome to you this warm sunny week in Geraldton where we are
having an forever summer. The wind has dropped and the Indian
Ocean is sparkling like a massive set of diamonds on torquise
background. Strolling into town along the beach, sit outside
my favourite coffee shop for a Latte and watch the gulls
wheel over the surf. What was that about a recession?

Oh yes. That's right we are in a recession or coming into a
recession, deep in a recession or waiting to get out of one,
depending on what crazy media source you totally believe in.

Our illustrious Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd has announced a
new plan to roll out fast internet connection via fibre optic
to nodes. Really different apparently to having fencing wire
strung up on trees and various poles that gave us the modern
thing called a telephone. Can't wait for it!

Another thing he did which seemed to increase his popularity
over the moon was to give everyone in Australia below a certain
taxable income, a cheque in the mail for $900.00. Some sort
of stimulous payment. Similar to the stimulus you used to
give a racehorse via a big needle just when he was getting
a bit wobbly? He said it would be a recession beater. Or an
egg beater?

Guess what? My middle son's wife had a daughter during the week.
Called Oliva and from all reports all is well That makes 13
grandchildren for me. Aren't I lucky?

Well they said populate or perish. It wasn't Chairman Moa
who said that was it? Actually our benevolent Goverment
now gives every new parent a cheque in the mail of $5000.00
for every new babe that appears. Good for the country I say!

On another note. I am still looking at what Eckhart Tolle
said in his book "New Earth, create a better life" and am
finding it fascinating. Have you ever looked at that?
Buddha started it in a big way, but when I read the old
testament it mentions Enoch who was and then wasn't. The
best outcome of this teaching is to bring harmony, stillness
and peace to your world. Good idea really?

So in the article section this week is a poem I wrote in
a five minute excerise in response to the the title "Thought
is Free" See what you think of it?

That's about it for more now, that new botle of fine red
wine is looking straight at me, initiating the "law of
attraction!" Gratitude will always win the day (and
the one after that!)

Till next week, have a good one!

7. A little humour.

He Who Tells the Best Story...

A clergyman was walking down the street when he came upon a group of
about a dozen boys, all of them between 10 and 12 years of age.

The group surrounded a dog. Concerned lest the boys were hurting the
dog, he went over and asked "What are you doing with that dog?"

One of the boys replied, "This dog is just an old neighborhood stray.
We all want him, but only one of us can take him home. So we've decided
that whichever one of us can tell the biggest lie will get to keep the dog."

Of course, the reverend was taken aback. "You boys shouldn't be having
a contest telling lies!" he exclaimed. He then launched into a ten minute
sermon against lying, beginning, "Don't you boys know it's a sin to lie,"
and ending with, "Why, when I was your age, I never told a lie."

There was dead silence for about a minute. Just as the reverend was
beginning to think he'd gotten through to them, the smallest boy gave a
deep sigh and said, "All right, give him the dog."

1. Today's Motivation

A positive start

Energize your life by starting each day with gratitude.
When you wake up, before you do anything else, stop and
count your blessings. Then find something special about
each day for which you can be thankful.

It's s great way to get each day started on a positive
note, and it can make a major difference throughout the
day. Actively practicing gratitude on a regular basis
will keep you in touch with the very best of your
possibilities. It will enable you to see opportunities
and utilize resources which may otherwise have remained
hidden or forgotten.

Maintaining an attitude of gratitude will keep you
connected to the things of value in your life. So in a
very real sense it will add value to each moment of the
day.

There are many good things in your life. It makes sense
to fully appreciate and enjoy them. When you do, those
positive things will grow even stronger. Begin each day
by counting your many blessings.

By so doing you'll attract many more.

Hi

Welcome back after an absence due to going to Perth to
watch my grandson play cricket in their finals. He scored
40 runs which was good to see and we were treated to a
very interesting morning of cricket by the young fellows.

Back home in Geraldton we are enjoying fine sunny days of
25-28 celsius appraoching our winter. (Our winter is not
severe here). Actually it is generaly the best time of the
year I reckon.

One of my children sent me the latest book by Echart Tolle
called 'New Earth, create a better life'. Took me back to
the early nineties when we went through the Landmark series
of forums into being. That is an ontological enquiry.

Echart's first book was called the 'Power of Now".

It's seemed odd at the time going back into the world driven
by the insane ego following that powerful enquiry, and now I
am being jerked back once again into the concept of
timelessness and awareness as being. (Which is being present
in the moment.)
Actually I found it made the teachings and parables of Jesus
a lot clearer. So that was a big plus for me.

This has led me to feel that the religious people do
muddy the water a bit when preaching scripture to the masses.
Especially when they are talking to the schizophrenic media!

God help us then. :-)

Australia is lumbering along okay on the world scene.
When in Perth I never saw much sign of poverty or distress!
Everyone seemed to be driving around in the latest cars and
living in new houses? The stock market today followed the NYSE
dead cat bounce. And may continue to bump along the bottom for
how long, who knows?

In England the Press are talking austerity and perhaps even
public servants may have to produce something?

I guess we all really know that it is you and I who will save
the world by working, saving and doing the best we can. Public
servants and the robber barons who fleeced the money from the
retirment funds of half the planet, will gradually fade away
in the new order. Am I dreaming you might ask?

By the way, I was told that the progrma called Pyrabang which
I mentioned last week is deemed illegal by the Dutch
Government. Sorry about that. We had better not promote that
one anymore.
I was unaware of that.

I'd like to end on a positive note, we are all keeping well
over here and I wish you, our reader, good health and happiness
this week and always.

Kind regards

Finding Balance in a Fast Changing World

Author: Pat Kennedy

You may have noticed that the world we live in today doesn't
work by the same rules as the world we lived in a year ago,
or five years ago. The planet, and everything living here,
is evolving. This is normal, and yet it seems that the rate
of evolution has sped up. The speed of new ideas,
new technologies, and new ways of living is sometimes
"mind blowing".

I've written before about dealing with such fast paced change.
And yet, what I haven't really talked about is how we deal
with the people around us who are - consciously or
unconsciously - freaking out over all of the changes.
I've seen it recently in our local government. Suddenly, all
sorts of weird (and seemingly unnecessary) laws are being
passed. These laws are going to be difficult to enforce, and
provide little, if any, benefit to the town. So what is the
motivation here?

My guess is that our local town and county officials are
feeling the effects of rapid change, and rather than "going
with the flow", they're attempting to grab hold of something,
anything, that gives them the illusion of being in control.
Haven't we all been there? Haven't we all tried to control a
situation or hold onto something that was best let go? Since
we can often see a bit of ourselves in others, then perhaps
- just perhaps - we can exercise some patience and understanding
when we see people freaking out and trying to control the
uncontrollable.

That is not to say that we allow our governing bodies, our
companies, or our friends and family to use us as doormats.
We can still hold people accountable, but perhaps we don't
have to crucify them. Perhaps we can find that space between
righteous indignation and placid apathy where we can call on
people to behave with integrity, but do so without making them
the cause of all evils.

We all have our good days and our bad days, and we all have a
lot of change to deal with. If we do our best to flow with the
changes, act with integrity, and exhibit as much ease and grace
as we can muster; then our personal lives will be much more fun.
As for dealing with those who may not be as "graceful" as we
imagine ourselves to be? My suggestion is to look for balance,
come from your heart, and have compassion. After all, I'm sure
that the most graceful among us look pretty clumsy to the angels.

7. A little humour.

Into a Belfast pub comes Paddy Murphy, looking like he'd
just been run over by a train.

His arm is in a sling, his nose is broken, his face is cut
and bruised and he's walking with a limp.

"What happened to you?" asks Sean, the bartender.

" Jamie O'Conner and me had a fight," says Paddy.

" That little dipwad, O'Conner," says Sean, "He couldn't do
that to you, he must have had something in his hand."

" That he did," says Paddy, "a shovel is what he had, and a
terrible lickin' he gave me with it."

" Well," says Sean, "you should have defended yourself,
didn't you have something in your hand?"

" That I did," said Paddy. "Mrs. O'Conner's breast, and a
thing of beauty it was, but useless in a fight."

----------------------------------------------

Mary Clancy goes up to Father O' Grady after his
Sunday morning service, and she's in tears.

He says, " So what's bothering you, Mary my dear?"

She says, "Oh, Father, I've got terrible news .
My husband passed away last night."

The priest says, "Oh, Mary, that's terrible. Tell me,
Mary, did he have any last requests?"

She says, "That he did, Father."

The priest says, "What did he ask, Mary? "

She says, "He said, Please Mary, put down that damn gun..."

SUCCESS IS A STATE OF YOUR MIND

If you truly want to be successful,
start thinking of yourself as successful.

The only thing that stands between you
and what you want from life,
is simply the will to try it
and the faith to believe that it is possible.

There is nothing on earth that you can't have,
once you mentally accept the fact that you can have it.

The feeling must come first.
If you actually feel successful,
if you have a deep inner conviction
that you'll always have all that you need, it will be so.

Whatever your mind can conceive and believe in,
your mind can help you achieve.

Hi Folks

Welcome once again to you, our valued reader. With the
avalanche of information and frenzied mass of mail heading
your way, it is indeed pleasing that you took the time to
open this mail. I am not going to offer you Free/Stuff, mainly
because I have found my PC chock a block with Free/Stuff
which I am never going to get to!

Today, over here in Geraldton, Western Australia it has turned
cooler today after the last two weeks of scorching weather. Maybe
we have seen the end of summer down under?

Recently all the news over here has been about the lax attitude
of our courts to people who bash Policemen, old ladies and
innocent young people. And break in and rob pensioners like us.

Freedom comes with a price.

Soldiers in the two great wars and even young men today in
conflict abroad (a young Australian soldier with a four week
old baby was killed this week in Afghanistan) know the price.

Anyway I will get off my soap box. (But I am sure you good readers
understand?)

Actually Australia is like two populations. Because of its vastness,
deserts and empty space. The people that live and work in those
areas have to face a entirely different world than those who are
crammed into cities on the fringe of the coastline around our country.

A change of note. Just yesterday I came across a site called Pyrabang.
I listened to the owners video of the aims of his program and it
interested me. He is intent on setting up a Free/Media outlet so
anyone can put up their point of view, interests, product or service.

I liked what I saw. You can check it out here.

that€™s about it for now, my friend's daughter is getting married Saturday
and we go to a 70th birthday party on Sunday, so its going to be a big

Understanding Brainwaves

Brainwaves are the electrical wave patterns generated in
every person's brain. They vary according to level of
consciousness (hence subconscious, unconscious, etc.)
and are characterized by four distinct types of brainwaves,
all with distinctly different ways of perceiving, processing,
learning, and knowing information. All of these brainwaves
are produced at all times but a predominance of a certain
desired brainwave state can be treated at will and allow
a person to potentialize human excellence like a Zen master.

BETA BRAINWAVES (13 to 40 Hz [hertz or cycles per second])
a high frequency pattern, conducive to stimulating energy
and action; most of our current institutionalized education
is beta geared, characterized by logical, analytical,
intellectual thinking, verbal communication, etc.

ALPHA BRAINWAVES (8 to 12 Hz) slower brainwaves that are
conducive to creative problem solving, accelerated learning,
mood elevation, stress reduction, etc., characterized by
intuitive insights, creative "juice", inspiration,
motivation, daydreams etc. Relaxed, yet alert.

THETA BRAINWAVES (4 to 7 Hz) near sleep brainwaves that are
conducive to profound inner peace, "mystical truths",
transforming unconsciously held limiting beliefs, physical
and emotional healing, purpose of life exploration, a
"live in quality" ... characterized by a "kind of knowing
that feels like" inner wisdom, faith, meditation, some
psychic abilities, and retrieving unconscious material.

DELTA BRAINWAVES (.5 to 4 Hz) slowest of all, conducive to
miracle type healing, divine knowledge, inner being and
personal growth, rebirth, trauma recovery, "one with the
universe experiences (samadhi), near death experience,
characterized by "unknowing" merely a blissful "being" state
such as deep sleep or coma.

7. A little humour.

From Rita Rudner's collection.

A man will go to war, fight and die for his country.
But he won't get a bikini wax.

I know I want to have children while my parents are
still young enough to take care of them.

I love being married. It's so great to find that one
special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.

I love to shop after a bad relationship. I don't know.
I buy a new outfit and it makes me feel better. It
just does. Sometimes I see a really great outfit,
I'll break up with someone on purpose.

I think men who have a pierced ear are better prepared
for marriage. They've experienced pain and bought jewellery.

In Hollywood a marriage is a success if it outlasts milk.

Marriages don't last. When I meet a guy, the first question
I ask myself is: is this the man I want my children to spend
their weekends with?

Men reach their sexual peak at eighteen. Women reach theirs
at thirty-five. Do you get the feeling that God is playing
a practical joke?

Men who consistently leave the toilet seat up secretly want
women to get up to go the bathroom in the middle of the
night and fall in.

Some people think having large breasts makes a woman stupid.
Actually, it's quite the opposite: a woman having large
breasts makes men stupid.

When I eventually met Mr. Right I had no idea that his first
name was Always.

Wanting is NOT Enough

Wanting something isn't sufficient enough.

You have to ask yourself,
"What am I willing to do or give up, to get what I want?"

Your problem is how to bridge the gap which exists

You cannot fail with a definite step by step plan,

Hi Friends

Greetings to you today, but I bring bad news.

In the South Eastern parts of Victoria there has been a
holocaust. Wildfires of unimaginable fury swept across towns
and villages, taking all before it. Firestorms travelling at
around 160 kms an hour at the front with ember attacks
reaching far beyond the front line of fire. Radiant heat at
the face of the flames at 1000 o C, blowing houses apart,
burning in minutes, charring human beings to death in seconds.
In one day destroying over a 1000 homes and leaving more than
180 dead.

Unescapable,death machine..................Black Saturday.

From a story on the front page of the 'West Australian'
Newspaper today (Wednesday).

'Quote'

He was a boy of about ten with the bluest of blue eyes.
They are eyes that Mark, a firefighter from Flowerdale, will
never forget. He found the boy dead in the inferno that has so
far claimed 181 lives.

He was found near a ute, doomed, like so many other vehicles
fleeing the inferno. Along the road lay the bodies of another
boy and a woman, believed to to be his mother and brother.

On Sunday, when firefighters scoured the charred town of
Flowersdale, of which little remains, theirs were among the
first bodies found.

"They must have panicked and the car went straight into the tree.
They had no hope," Mark said yesterday.

"They got out of the car. One kid would have been about ten. He
was lying on his back. His eyes were just wide open and he had
the bluest eyes...then I thought about my son...what can you do?"

"The other boy was about six. The mum was crouched with her
hands over her head."

Mark is a man with rock-hard handshake, a no-nonsense manner and
a ready smile. But the grizzly reality of what he found makes
him roar in pain and weep.

"There was nothing anybody could do," he said. "The fire was the
fastest thing I had ever seen. My son was worried sick about
daddy and I'm fine- but those poor people..."

But Mark is not really fine. His house has been obliterated in
the blaze and he's only had about "20 minutes sleep here and
there."

'End of quote.'

That part of the news item was only a small part of the horror
that occurred last weekend in Victoria. Almost like a war had
come and went in a matter of hours.

In 1961 in Western Australia several mill towns in the South of the
state of Western Australia were burnt to the ground in wildfires.
Ash Wednesday in 1983 in South Eastern Victoria, towns were
destroyed and lives were lost. In between that time there have been
other firestorms erupted at the height of summer.

California, USA have had their share of it.

Sorry to sound like I am preaching here, but I feel, as you must
that we have been around long enough to have seen things and know
we have to learn from them.

It is wonderful to allow the trees and bush to grow unhindered from
fires and clearing forever and to live amongst those same trees
overhanging in a supposedly natural way around our house's. To
allow the birds and insects to have dense habitat, untouched by
machine or smoke for decades.

Along our glorious beaches we can build miles of canals and houses
a metre or so above the high water mark and enjoy many a evening
sipping a glass of red as we watch the sun disappear on the horizon.

But you and I have seen the shake of the earth and the tsunami roar
like a lion as it thunders the sea up across the land. Taking all
before it, mercy to none.

We have just seen and heard the fury of the wildfire sweep up the
ridge and onto the settlements like a thousand burning horsemen
from hell with swords of fire screaming death to all, flaming
grotesquely the years of fuel lying in wait for that dreadful moment.
People in their houses with air-conditioners on, unaware till to late,
not understanding or hearing the signs.
Burnt to death in minutes.

It surely our responsibility to undertake to live in peace and harmony
with nature, co-existing with mutual respect.

It is time now for that. What do you think?

Disaster Preparedness: What is a Christian's Responsibility?

03rd February 2009 Author: C.L. Carr

As Christians, what should be our role in disaster preparedness?
This question has never been of greater significance than today.
In fact, it is absolutely vital that we weigh in on this issue.
We can no longer afford to sit on the fence and let others debate
this topic for us. Each one of us needs to be fully persuaded in
his own mind. We each must decide what Jesus Christ expects of us
personally, based on what He says in His Word.

Many Christians are taught that doing physical works of
preparedness is a lack of faith. That it shows a lack of trust
in Jesus Christ, our provider. But is this really true? We are
all familiar with I Tim. 5:8 which says, "But if any provide not
for his own, and especially those of his own house, he hath denied
the faith and is worse than an infidel." This scripture is
referring to more than just "going to work" and "paying the bills",
and "putting food on the table". The word "provide" actually means
to "consider in advance, i.e. look our for beforehand." This is
interesting. Jesus is telling us that in order to properly provide
for our house, we must be able to forecast, in advance, the
potential problems coming our way, and to act accordingly.
This is putting our faith into practice.

Otherwise we have "denied the faith".

God tells us in Proverbs 27:12, "A prudent man foreseeth the evil
and hideth himself: but the simple pass on and are punished."
This scripture tells us that those who cannot foresee in advance
the coming evil are actually punished! That when the coming flood
of problems arise, they will be swept away by it--because they
did not prepare in advance for this disaster. Remember Noah?

Hebrews 11:7 says, "By faith Noah being warned of God of things not
seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his
house." The Holy Bible is our road map. This story is written for
us! Almighty God in heaven is thundering to those of us who can
hear Him. "The flood is coming, children! Start preparing!" Floods
and storms and evil is coming. In fact, it is here now. What are
you doing right now to prepare to save your family? Will you be able
to provide for them when disaster strikes?

The world is standing on the precipice of an enormous, catastrophic
collapse. Massive earth changes from a polar shift is bearing down
on us. Terrible famine, horrible pestilence , apocalyptic warfare,
and persecution of Biblical proportions is looming. Yet, why should
we be surprised by all this? Isn't this what Jesus warned us about
in His Word? Are we the "simple" who blindly continue along just
waiting for the evil to overtake us? Or, are we the "prudent" who
can foresee this and are taking steps to avoid it? If we are not
preparing for the coming disasters, both spiritually and physically,
we will fall. Not only will we fall, but our entire house will
fall--and great will be the fall of it!

Furthermore, if you're not preparing because you are waiting for
the "rapture", you're in big trouble. Because--there is no
pre-tribulation rapture. Nor is there any Biblical evidence for one.
The word rapture is not even in the Bible. Also, if you are waiting
for an angel to come and knock at your door and whisk you off to
safety--you better think again. It's not that this can't happen.
It's not that this won't happen in a few special cases. But, its
that Jesus expects us to act on faith before the event to show our
faith. To witness our faith to others and for others. Doing
nothing, and yet waiting for God to do it for us is displeasing to
Him. "Faith without works is dead." We must "walk in the steps of
our faith" by taking action.

Whether we prepare for a localized flood, power outage, hurricane,
or earthquake-- or worldwide famine, pestilence or warfare--it's
all the same. It take spiritual preparation to survive a spiritual
crisis. And it take physical preparation to survive physical crisis.
The Great Tribulation bearing down upon us is a literal physical one,
and must be physically survived. But, it is also physically
occurring for spiritual reasons. Therefore to completely survive,
one must be prepared spiritually as well. The issue of spiritual
preparedness will be covered in future articles. But for now,
suffice it to say, without adequate physical preparations, we will
not be able to provide for our house.

This is the purpose of this article and future articles. To help
Christians prepare for the coming storm. To direct them to sources
of food and equipment necessary for survival, as well as provide
them with the knowledge and tips needed to make these challenging
times more easily weathered. Pray about it, use the links at the
end of this article, and take action!

Hi Friends

Welcome on this cloudy, muggy sort of a day. A small cyclone
went through a day or so ago up North and dumped a heap of
rain across the Pilbara and Gasgoyne regions, also swung
in around the back end of the South West. Bit wet I beleive!
Made Adelaide and Melbourne swelter in over 40 o Celsius!

Hard on the tennis players in the Australian open!

Downtown Geraldton this morning was so busy. Guess it is
because of school holidays nearly over? Or is it because
this town is apparently the only place in the world where
there is still plenty of work and buzzing along?

Ada and I went down to the Maley Pioneer Museum on the
Greenough on Tuesday and while sitting away there I
read part of the book "The Life of Pi" by Yann Martel.

It is interesting that the teenage Indian man in the book,
living with his Father, a Zookeeper, experiments with religion.
He becomes a Christian, Hindu and a Muslim all at the same
time! And when the three clerics meet together with him by
accident, they all start accusing the other of being false.

I'm sure there is a connection in the book between a zoo
and the various religions and how the inmates of both get
along!

Which caused me to reflect on our recent celebrations for
Australia Day, the birth of a nation this week. One
indigenous leader referred to it as invasion day! Other
concerned persons said we should not wave all those
Australian flags about as it may offend people not of
Australian descent who now live in our country.

Which, I suspose, bought me to that vexed question, what
is Freedom? Pi observed that the animals in a Zoo that
escaped or were let out to their so called Freedom, either
tried to get back in the Zoo, hid away, or perished
in the dangerous enviroment outside the Zoo!

True Freedom cannot be demonstrated then in the body mind,
or acheived by the remonstrating of some cleric, but
surely must live outside those constraints and I
suspose, be Free? It was written, I think, about Stephen
when he was being stoned to death he was looking forward
to release with a smile upon his face.

What was being released?

I thought I experienced it for brief moment once while driving
my old ute down a back road in Gelorup, South of Bunbury, it
was a wierd experience, as though I was looking at myself
bumping along, yet I wasnt part of anything, yet I was
part of everything! Bit hard to describe actually!

But that was only once.

Sadly we must move on back to the Zoo where life goes on,
relentlessly. Tomorrow for me is a full day of work and
then a couple more after that. At the moment we are looking
at organizing flights to Terri (my daughters) wedding in October.
Plus making plans for a trip to Melbourne later in the year.

So I better stop my rambling here, I hope you have a
great week.

Kind regards

Stan Maley

Spiritual Freedom

Becoming Free

A Reminder of the Principles of Life

1: Life does not work through indecision. Indecision promotes
blocks, confusion and stress. Make a decision and allow life
to find movement through you. Trust yourself.

2: The 3 C's of life are Courage, Capacity and Commitment. It
takes Courage and a commitment to make many of life's decisions,
and capacity to follow them through. The 3 C's of a successful
relationship are Caring, Consideration and Communication.
Communication opens the door between us, consideration allows
us to pass through it and our ability to care for each other
unites us.

3: Truth is not truth out of timing- yet it remains truth. We
are the timing to recognize truth.

4: The mind recoils from the unknown, so we seek to make
everything known, and, thus sage. Imagination is the key to the
unknown- positive, uplifting imagination.

5: For as long as we search for Our God Self, we deny that we
are it. Loving your self reveals your truth.

6: Becoming free is not changing yourself into someone you think
you should be. Becoming free is falling in love with who you
are- right now.

7: Imagine a room of pitch dark and a room of bright light
connected by a door. When you open the door what happens? Light
floods into the dark room, illuminating it. Live accordingly,
think thoughts of light.

8: F.E.A.R- False Evidence Appearing Real

9: Anything of the past that is unresolved is unresolved now.
Living NOW resolves the past.

10: Life flows from the inside out, never the reverse. Understand
this and you cease to be a victim.

11: Love responds- fear reacts. Love connects- fear separates.
Love uplifts- fear deflates. Love creates- fear destroys.

12: There is no such thing as a mistake- only experience. There
is no such thing as failure- only people's condemnation. There is
no such thing as success- only people's approval. Let life live
through you.

13: Do not get caught up in modifying your life, allow life to
change YOU. Modification is a superficial exterior veneer, change
is an inner shift in consciousness.

14: Pain is a measure of your resistance to change.

15: Decide whether you want to be an onlooker of life or a
participant. This is the birthplace of choice.

16: You hear with your ears- but you listen with your mind. You
look with your eyes- but you see from the heart.

17: Consciousness is not contained in your body- you are the
consciousness that contains the body. Consciousness draws to
itself form through which to express

18: Your mind cannot exist in the moment. You cannot think your
way into the moment, you can only think your way out of it. This
indicates that your mind/intellect cannot set you free. Only your
consciousness is aware of NOW. True freedom is a state of
consciousness.

19: We each live in our own universe, a universe of our making.
It is designed to support our beliefs and our focus. Our thoughts
are our focus, so observe your thoughts, focus on your blessings,
and trust. This is how you become a participant.

20: Practise seeing all life around you as an aspect of
yourself. In this way you shatter the illusion of separation.

21: Your mind does now know the difference between what you do
want or what you don't want, it only knows what you focus on.
Many people focus on what they don't have, what they are
incapable of doing and their sicknesses.

22: If you focus on what you do have, it increases. If you focus
on what you don't have, you will have even less. If you focus
on your capabilities, they grow, if you focus on your health,
it improves.

23: Your mind does not know the difference between a powerfully
imagined reality and a physical happening reality. Why? Because
there is no difference.

24: You only have a problem if you believe you have a problem.

25: Live these principles and you will be practising reality.
Practise reality until you overcome the illusion. It is only an
illusion that you are not free, now!

7. A little humour.

An Australian song for this occasion.

"Give me a home among the gum trees
With lots of plum trees
A sheep or two
A kangaroo
A clothesline out the back
Veranda out the front
And an old rocking chair.

You'll see me in the kitchen
Cooking up a roast
Or vegemite on toast
Just you and me
And a cup of tea."
